The School of Growth
Volume I
A study of identity, behaviour, and change.
Lesson 001 — Why Is Becoming Her So Hard?
Every day we're told to become a better version of ourselves.
Be more confident.
Be more disciplined.
Love yourself.
Set boundaries.
Stop overthinking.
Become her.
But almost nobody asks a different question. Who is the version of you that's trying to change?
Because lasting change isn't difficult because you don't know what to do. It's difficult because your thoughts, emotions and behaviours were shaped long before you consciously chose them.
Before you can become someone new, you first need to understand the psychology of the person you've already become.

Is that a good thing? And how do you actually want to see yourself — before anything else changes.
This completely changed the way I see my own behaviour.
The running commentary in your head — does it add to who you are, or quietly downplay you?
For the first time I understood why I kept repeating the same patterns.
Are they adding to the person you're trying to become, or keeping the old version in place?
The version of events you keep repeating to yourself isn't fixed — it can be told differently, on purpose.
Appearance isn't vanity — it's tied to the same story of how you see yourself as everything before it.
